She stands only 5’ 3”, yet when she opens her mouth to sing, the power for her voice fills every corner of the room! Leah’s music has been called “heart music”. Not only do the notes fill every corner of the room, but the message will fill every corner of your heart. As the daughter of Gary Lanier, world renowned Christian composer, Leah grew up in a home full of music and ministry. She began singing onstage at the age of five, and penned her first song, A Resting Place, winner in the Great American Song Contest, at the age of sixteen. Since that time, she has become a prolific songwriter as songs flow from her pen that allow people to experience the heart of God. When Leah is not sharing her life and music with people through concerts, youth rallies, conferences, political gatherings, or campus ministries, you will find her on Sundays as Worship Leader at Regional Church in Southeast Oklahoma. Her rich, powerful voice leads the Worship Team and congregation each week, as side-by-side, she and her father follow the spontaneous path led by the Spirit, both on keyboards, guiding all into worship!
